Wedding ceremonies at The Room in the Rodings are conducted in the elegantly furnished Ceremony Room which seats 60 guests; more guests can be accommodated with a combination of seated and standing.
Adjoining the Ceremony Room, the spacious Hall is tastefully decorated in a contemporary and neutral style. It seats up to 100 and accommodates up to 150 for an evening buffet or party.
There is an attractive decked courtyard with tables and chairs for use in fine weather, as well as an attractive pergola. The beautiful views across the stunning Essex countryside, provide the perfect backdrop for striking photographs.

You may provide your own wine, champagne, prosecco and soft drinks for the reception and wedding breakfast and there’s no corkage fee or service charge. The venue provides a fully licensed staffed bar for the evening from 7.00 pm.
The Room in the Rodings allows you to bring in any supplier of your choice, including caterers. We have a list of local suppliers who have worked with us on several occasions to help you find that perfect match for all aspects of your wedding. For those of you wanting to make the planning easier, we offer fantastic package options which include the food, daytime drinks and evening DJ - everything you need in one easy option!

The Ceremony
The Room in the Rodings is fully licensed for ceremonies which take place in our beautiful, dedicated ceremony room. The room seats 60 guests and we can accommodate more with a combination of seated and standing.
We can provide guidance on how to book a legal ceremony with the local registrars and offer advice about ceremony options.

Catering & Drinks
Our Dining Room comfortably accommodates up to 100 seated guests and easily takes up to 150 guests for an evening buffet or party - so there’s no need to hold back on the invites to your special day!
Unlike most wedding venues, we don’t charge corkage on drinks that you decide to provide for your wedding event. So, if you want to source your own bubbles for speeches and wine for the tables, we won’t charge you extra.
Not only that, we also offer the ultimate in flexibility when it comes to catering - you won’t be limited to a selection of our choosing - you can bring in any caterer of your choice. If you don’t have any particular supplier in mind, don’t worry, we have a list of recommended local companies who will be happy to help you throw the wedding event that you truly want!
When it comes to the evening celebrations, we can provide a fully staffed and licensed bar for drinks from 7.00 pm, or earlier if required.
